To reset the connections, open the settings app, go to developer options, and scroll down under the debugging section and "revoke USB debugging authorization".

If you don't have developer options at the bottom of your settings list that could be the problem as well. If you don't have turned on, go to "about" in the settings app and click the "build number" seven times.

One last thing I remembered about flash cc is you have to select your device from the test and debug menu in flash. I don't remember offhand what the menu bar is but I think it is "control" and under one the options is what you want to deploy the test to, which includes the air desktop simulator, air mobile simulator, and any device connected. So you may have to make sure that your device is selected as the test deploy receiver.

That is why I preferred cs6 because Ctrl+enter tested on my computer and publish actually sends to device. On cc you have to change it back and forth through the menu options.

Lastly to address the support thing, adobe has continued to support Android to the latest version and had even added x86 Android device support to the latest "labs" beta release. Any of the other things I mentioned above could possibly fix the issue and prevent flash from freezing on publish. I personally always update to the latest version of air as soon as it is available since they pretty much always contain bug fixes and new features.
